Spiraling Across the Freeway How EFT-Emotional Freedom Technique Saved My Life

One dark rainy morning driving from Dallas back to Houston I had a very scary experience. One minute I was driving along and the next second all I know was my Ford explorer was spiraling across the freeway from the far left lane and I ended up in the grass 2 feet from the feeder road pavement.
In that crazy moment I said to myself this is not happening, I am not going to die on this damn freeway. I mentally started tapping ET this is seems surreal I give myself permission to come out of this alive and well. In what felt like eternity which was really seconds I came to a stop in the grass and I took one BIG deep breath. I said to myself I am still breathing and the air bag didn’t even deploy. I heard no other crashing and I exhaled.
I unbuckled my seat belt, looked around and saw no one. I was like “You are fricking kidding me” I got out of my Explorer and look all around it and everything was untouched. Not dents, no scratches, no flat tires and no one had even stopped. It was like I was in an alternate Universe all by myself.

My Tapping Miracle
Taking another couple of deep breaths I got back in my vehicle and said THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, you obviously have something in store for me because that was one fricking miracle. Then I started to tap. As the rain was not stopping and I still had a couple hundred miles to drive home. I started on the first thing I felt:
Even though I just hydroplaned across the freeway and the last thing I want to do is get back on that rainy road I accept I am feeling WAY scared right now. I tapped on everything I felt until I was calm again. Then I slowly pulled out of grass back on freeway and took off for Houston.
A couple of times I could still feel my nerves kick in when the tires felt for a instant they might hydroplane again so I knew I had some more “charge there” and tapped while I drove.
Yes, I got home safely and the rest of the drive went just fine. Here is what I know. Before EFT I would have been in a heap on that rainy grass crying my eyes out. I would have not been able to drive and I might have had to have someone come get me. I also know that my Grandmother had an experience when I was little that I only learned of as an adult where she had a panic attack riving across the country and had to have someone come get here. She never drove long distance again after that. So I tapped on that as well.
- How many times have you had something like this happen and thought you just needed to tough it through your fear?
- How many times have you had something like this happen and you have never gotten over it?
I am here to tell you that EFT-Emotional Freedom Technique will clear it out if you learn how. You might get 60-60 or 80% resolution on your own and not be able to clear the rest. That is a sign you need to visit a professional as you have taken yourself as far as your skill will take you. That’s ok, I am not expert in car repair, writing code for a computer or even cutting down a tree…When I need those things I call on a professional.

Learning How To Do EFT The Simple Way

SImple EFT Tapping Chart
There are many different things to learn when using EFT-Emotional Freedom Technique. It is a simple and easy method and can be very forgiving. With that said it also helps the more you have used it and have crafted your skill. The effectiveness of many of EFT pracitioners comes from our ability to enhance our results by developing our art of delivery. You will get better and better through time and usage. So, let’s get you started with the basics here.
Here is a full sequence of EFT-Emotional Freedom Technique.

I start off with making the statement about what is the concern for you right now that you want to tap.
For example “My head hurts” I tune in and ask myself on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst, “how does it feel?” This rating helps you to know where you are before you start and what result you have acheived with tapping.
You start with the Set-up Phrase download everyone s hero online , tapping on the karate chop point or rubbing your sore spot.
- Even thought I have _________(state your problem here) I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
- Even though I am ____________(state feeling here) I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
- Even though this ___________(state issue here) is happening right now, I deeply and completely forgive myself.
Tap a round/sequence One
Tap at each point and state your reminder phrase. Your reminder phrase is “This ______(problem)”
on each point while tapping 5-7 times on each point. Remember to take a deep breath after last tapping point.
Some people like to use a wrist point which is very simple. You just hold the insides of your wrists facing each other and clap them together like you were making applause. This can be before or after you tap top of head. The order is not important. We have a sequence to help you remember them all and not forget a point.
Then you can use the 9 gamut sequence. This part of the tapping sequence has been taken out of everyday tapping as it is only really needed when you have a issue that is not responding. Some of the original practitioners like using it every time since that is how they were trained and that is ok. Even Gary Craig doe snot use it every time any longer . My wish for you is to learn the techniques and stay in a frame of mind that stays open to guidance when moved it as you develop a stronger sense what is needed through much use of EFT.
9 Gamut sequence goes like this-
- Hoot release
- Tapping on the gamut spot which is between your little finger and ring finger on back of your hand (that valley between the bones) you tap while focusing or stating your issue or concern
- Then you look down with your eyes only a hard right
- Then a hard left
- Then circle your eyes around to the right
- Then circle your eyes around to the left
- Close your eyes hum happy birthday (or any song you like that is short)
- Then count to five
- Then hum again
- Tap on each finger point while thinking about the reminder phrase

Tapping 5-7 times on each point stating your reminder phrase again and remembering to take a deep breath after last point. Now, tune in and ask yourself “How do I feel now when I say, whatever is your reminder phrase. Have you gone down on the scale of 1-10? If you have gone down on the scale but not to zero then tap more rounds until you get yourself down to zero.
If you are unable to get to zero, more than likely youhave other aspects besides the obvious and you might want to talk to an EFT Practitioner about a one on one session. Here is where the skill comes in to acheive results. Let us know how we can help you.
Remember is is not about being right or wrong when you tap because that does not put you in a vibration of receiving and healing. If you find yourself going there mentally I invite you to watch my videos and start doing EFT on a daily basis so you can build your skill and gain clarity.
Here is what I do if my mind goes to “I must not be dong it right!”
- “Even though I am feeling frustrated because I want results now I give myself the space to know it will come to me and this is a learning process.”
Then just tap “this frustration” on your points, take a deep breath and take a drink of water when you finish a round. Do this until you are able to bring yourself to a calm state again.

Sometimes positive tapping is one of the most effective ways to uncover unrecognized limiting beliefs and hurdles that are holding you back subconsciously.
